M-24 was born from a simple idea: that the toughest materials on the road shouldn't end up in landfill. We take the heavy-duty tarpaulin curtains from the sides of lorries — material that has spent years battling motorway grit, rain, and the full force of British weather — and transform it into handmade bags built to last a lifetime.

Where It All Began

Every M-24 bag starts life on the side of a lorry. Those enormous curtain-sided trucks you pass on the motorway? Their tarpaulin panels spend between 5 and 10 years in service before being replaced. Without intervention, most of that material ends up burnt or buried in landfill. We thought there was a better way.

So we started collecting it, cleaning it, and cutting it into something worth carrying. M-24 is our answer to throwaway culture — a bag brand rooted in sustainability, craft, and the belief that the best materials already exist, they just need a second life.

How We Make Them

Every bag goes through the same careful process, right here in the UK:

The Material — We source retired truck tarpaulin from lorries across the country. No two tarps are the same, which means no two M-24 bags are identical. The scuffs, marks, and character of the road are part of what makes each one unique.

Cutting — The tarpaulin is trimmed into large 8×4 sheets, ready to work with. The webbing straps from the original tarp? Those become the handles on your bag. Nothing goes to waste.

Washing — The sheets go through industrial washing machines for a thorough clean. Road-worn but spotless by the time they reach our workshop.

Stitching — Each sheet is cut to precise patterns and stitched by hand by our team in the UK. Every bag is individually inspected before it leaves us.

Why It Matters

Truck tarpaulin is one of the toughest materials in everyday use. It's waterproof, tear-resistant, and built to withstand conditions most bags never face. When we upcycle it into a bag, you're not just getting something sustainable — you're getting something genuinely built to last. No fast fashion. No compromise on quality.
